BETTY PRIVACY & AI USE CHECK

Useful tools.
Clearer choices.

Before AI or automation becomes part of your support work, check what it sees, what it does and what needs human review.

Choose from categories, not real records. Explore a practical direction, the reasons behind it and alternatives to consider.

No account, record upload or AI API. The tool is a screening guide, not legal advice or a compliance certificate.

Illustrated workflow from a task, through a tool, to a practical next step.
Check the actual workflow. A product name alone does not settle privacy or suitability.

From a vague worry to a specific next action.

01

Describe one task

Select what the tool does and the categories of information it can receive.

02

Check the whole flow

Consider processing, supplier terms, connected systems and influence on decisions.

03

Review the direction

See pause points, unresolved questions or a limited-trial direction, with reasons and source links.

Practical detail, without handing over private records.

The review includes seven conditional sections, 14 fictional examples and task-matched alternatives. It can prepare a print summary and a full text download for your own review.

Keep real people out of the check.

There are no free-text record fields. Answers stay in the open page and clear on refresh. Downloads and printouts are separate copies you manage. The app has no analytics; the surrounding public website uses its existing Plausible analytics, as described on the privacy page. Hosting can still receive ordinary page requests.

Clear limits are part of the tool.

It does not approve a tool or business

Results depend on the categories selected. The check does not certify compliance, decide legal coverage, approve NDIS services or write a final privacy policy. Independent specialist review may be required.

Privacy duties and future disclosure are separate

The existing pilot separates privacy and supplier questions from the conditional December 2026 automated-decision disclosure screen. Its legal source register was checked on 29 September 2026, with updated OAIC automated-decision guidance rechecked on 2 October 2026. The original screening rules are unchanged; not every source has been reviewed again.

Alternatives are options to assess

A local model, managed account or simpler workflow can reduce a particular risk, but none is an automatic approval. Suggestions have not been tested against your actual systems or records.

Try it with a fictional workflow first.

Use the built-in examples to understand how a task, information type or supplier setting changes the result. Share general feedback only, not client records or screenshots containing private information.
